Construction of section N6 of the tailings dam, 1st, 2nd and 3rd tiers
Our engineers have extensive experience in designing tailings monitoring systems. We provide clear design solutions for the monitoring system, analyze the relevant risks associated with project deadlines and mining operations, and help clients make informed decisions based on specific needs and risks. Our solutions enable the safe operation of tailings storage facilities even with increased production volumes.

The decision on the placement of AFM equipment
The arrangement of the sensors is carried out in accordance with clause 6.6 of the SNiP RK 3.02-05-2010 “Automated monitoring system for buildings and structures”.

Observation gates on a PC
The composition of one observation gate:
- Vertical inclinometers with
- digital data bus – 1 set.
- String piezometer – 1 pc.
- Extensometer – 1 pc.
Data transfer solutions

The inclinometers are connected via a cable to the junction boxes using a factory cable. A shielded twisted pair cable is laid from the junction boxes to the AFM cabinets.
The string piezometers are connected to the junction boxes using a factory shielded cable. A shielded twisted pair cable is laid from the junction boxes to the AFM cabinets.
The extensometers are connected to the junction boxes using a factory shielded cable. A shielded twisted pair cable is laid from the junction boxes to the AFM cabinets.
The transmission of signals from AFM cabinets is carried out using fiber-optic cables and switching equipment.
Power supply solution for AFM devices

The power supply of the automated monitoring system devices is provided for 3 reliability categories.
The automated monitoring system is powered by a voltage supply of ~ 220V and a grounding conductor to the AFM cabinets. The power supply and grounding are taken into account in the electrical section
All AFM cabinets have rechargeable batteries as a backup power source, recharged from the AC network. The batteries are 12V lithium-ion batteries designed for continuous operation of the entire system for several days before power is restored.
Environmental protection
AFM has no negative impact on the environment.
